Andrew Young is a 23-year-old singer songwriter based in Los Angeles who writes chill, relatable, pop rock. He taught himself how to play guitar at the age of 11 by studying songbooks with lyrics and music to his favorite songs. Eventually, he started to write his own songs and would perform them at talent shows and open mic nights. In 2012, he recorded his debut EP, ‘Tree House’ in San Diego, CA with producer Jesse Barrera. Andrew started playing more shows around Los Angeles shortly after the release of ‘Tree House’ but went on a lengthy hiatus while pursuing a degree at CSUN and working a full time job.

After graduating in 2015, Andrew co-produced his second EP with producer Al Morello in Van Nuys, CA. Compared to the acoustic guitar driven tunes on ‘Tree House,’ his second EP titled, ‘Same Difference’ has a pop-driven sound. On this EP, electric guitars and more drums round out the upbeat sound of this record. The songs on ‘Same Difference’ are about Andrew’s relationships with the different people around him including friends, past lovers, as well as himself.

After releasing ‘Same Difference,’ Andrew quit his job to pursue his music career and continues to play shows around LA and hopes to tour and continue to release new music in the future.
